Privacy policy
The short version. Wheels Idle has no accounts, no analytics and no purchases. Your game is saved only on your device, and we never receive it. The only part of the game that uses the internet is its optional rewarded ads, which are served by Google AdMob; Google's handling of ad data is explained below, and you can choose how ads use your data.
1. Who we are
Wheels Idle ("the game") is made by Aypo Labs, an independent developer ("we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy or your information, write to [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information. The game does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, age, contacts, photos or location. It has no account or login, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it does not send your game, your settings or how you play to us. We have no server that receives data from the game.
3. Information stored on your device
To work, the game keeps some information only on your device, in its private storage:
- Your saved game: your progress (money, upgrades, tracks, results and records), your car's look and number in the garage, your daily tasks, and when you last played (used for the earnings you collect when you come back). A backup copy is kept on the device in case the main copy is damaged.
- Your settings: sound, music, display and notification choices.
- Notification bookkeeping: whether the game has asked for notification permission and when the next reminder is scheduled.
This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. Deleting the game removes it. Your phone may include app data in backups that you control, such as iCloud or your Google account backup; those are handled by Apple or Google under your account, and we cannot see them.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows rewarded ads only when you choose to watch one, for example to double the earnings waiting for you or to start a short boost. It shows no banner ads and no ads you did not ask for. The ads are provided by Google AdMob.
When an ad is requested or shown, Google may collect and use information from your device, such as:
- your device's advertising identifier (on iPhone and iPad only if you allow tracking; see below),
- your IP address and the approximate location it suggests,
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version),
- how you interact with the ads.
Google uses this to show and measure ads, to prevent fraud and, where you agree, to personalise ads. We do not receive this information in a form that identifies you. Google explains its practices at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Your ad choices
- Consent (Europe, the UK, Switzerland and some US states). Where the law requires it, the game shows Google's consent message before any ad is requested, and you decide how your data may be used for ads. You can change your answer at any time in the game under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- iPhone and iPad. The game asks whether you allow tracking. If you do not, your device's advertising identifier is not shared, and ads may be less relevant. You can change this in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in your device's settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads or Settings → Google → Ads).
- Not watching ads at all is always an option: the game can be played without them.
6. Notifications
If you allow them, the game can remind you when new daily tasks are ready. These are local notifications, scheduled on your device by the game itself; no push service is involved and nothing is sent to us. You can turn them off in the game's settings or in your device's notification settings.
7. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, such as access, correction, deletion and objection, and, in some US states, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Because we do not hold personal information about you, most requests about ad data are best made to Google, and the ad choices in section 5 let you control ads directly. We are happy to help with any request at [email protected].
9. Security and retention
Your game data stays in the app's private storage on your device for as long as the game is installed. We do not keep copies of it.
10. Changes to this policy
If the game changes how it handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date above. Important changes will also be noted in the game's update notes.
